This policy describes the cookies and other trackers used by Skolina, their purpose, duration, and how to change your choice. Audience-measurement trackers are activated only after you consent.
- No audience tracker before you agree
- Rejecting is as easy as accepting
- You can change your choice at any time
- No advertising trackers at present
Cookies and other trackers
A cookie is a small file stored by your browser. Browser local storage (localStorage) works in a similar way: it remembers a choice or information on your device. In this policy, the term “tracker” covers both mechanisms.
Strictly necessary trackers
These trackers support the operation and security of the service. They are not used to measure your audience and do not require your consent.
- skolina_cookie_prefs and skolina_cookie_consent: remember your choice for 6 months so you are not prompted on every visit;
- refreshToken and refreshToken-admin: secure cookies inaccessible to JavaScript, used by the application to maintain an authenticated session until logout or token expiry;
- skolina:id-from-landing: temporarily retains, for no more than 7 days, a demo quiz created on the home page so it can be resumed in the application;
- local language, display, or editing preferences: stored on the device to provide the feature you explicitly requested.
Audience measurement and attribution
If you accept the Analytics category, Skolina may load Google Analytics 4 (GA4) and retain the information needed to understand visit sources and journeys. If no GA4 identifier is configured, no Google Analytics script is loaded.
- _ga and _ga_*: distinguish visits for audience measurement; configured maximum duration of 13 months, without automatic extension on each visit;
- gclid, utm_source, utm_medium, utm_campaign, utm_term, and utm_content: campaign attribution, retained for 90 days in local storage;
- ga_client_id, ga_session_id, skolina_first_touch_url, and skolina_first_referrer: journey and first-source measurement, retained for 90 days in local storage.
Marketing
Skolina does not currently place any advertising or marketing-profiling tracker. The Marketing setting is displayed so your choice remains explicit if this changes; any new tracker requiring consent will require prior information.
Accepting, rejecting, or withdrawing consent
On your first visit, you can accept all, reject all, or customize the categories. Your choice is retained for 6 months.
The “Cookie settings” button in the footer reopens the panel at any time. Rejecting or withdrawing consent deletes local attribution data and GA4 cookies accessible from the site, then prevents GA4 from loading again. You can also clear site data from your browser settings.
